Jason Salmon - President, Founder, Board of Advisors
Jason is a general management executive skilled at driving growth and profitable financial performance in cutting edge companies and is experienced at navigating complex transactions, negotiations, marketing and strategic planning imperatives. Before Drexel he was the Director of Business Development and Retail Administration for Shaw Direct (formerly Star Choice), providing ongoing direction towards Shaw Direct’s Business Development, Strategic Planning, and Retail Administration initiatives. While at Shaw Ventures, which was responsible for a $2.9B investment portfolio, he reported to the President and built experience in all stages of the acquisition and investment process.
Jason Salmon

Jennifer Salmon - Vice President, Business Development
Jennifer provides strategic direction to Drexel with a focus on revenue generation and profitability, ensuring the successful implementation of the business plan. She is responsible for product pricing, contract negotiation, customer on-boarding, Human Resources and Drexel’s corporate culture. With over 20 years of experience in the Canadian communications industry, Jennifer’s dynamic personality has made her a successful negotiator, admired team leader and visionary who knows how to think outside the box.

Tara Salmon CA, CPA - CFO
Tara leads all finance functions for Drexel including treasury, tax and accounting. She has over 20 years' experience as a Canadian chartered accountant and a US certified public accountant. Tara comes to Drexel from the Calgary office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where she specialized in international taxation for over 10 years. Prior to that, she was in corporate tax at Meyers Norris Penny LLP, and in the audit practice at Ernst & Young LLP. Tara is also an active member with CPA Canada, acting as a tutor in the In-Depth tax program.

John (JD) Abram - Vice President, Sales
John (JD) is responsible for all sales activity for Drexel encompassing wholesale distribution, 3rd Party Logistics and Drexel’s strategic partnership with DAZN Over the Top (OTT). Prior to joining Drexel, JD had a successful 10-year career at Rogers Communications and a six-year tenure at ZTE, most recently as the Vice President of Terminal Sales. In this role, he led a team that was responsible for expanding ZTE's presence in Canada from a relatively unknown Chinese manufacturer to the fourth largest OEM in Canada by wireless device unit sales.
JD Abram

Bruce Powers - Vice President, Business Intelligence and Planning
Bruce leads Business Intelligence, Strategic Planning, and Information Technology for Drexel. With over three decades of retail, wholesale and distribution experience in the Consumer Electronics space, he understands nothing is more vital than exceeding the customer’s expectations. Bruce developed a passion for consumer electronics early in life, embracing the ongoing evolution of products through his tenure at The Source (formerly Radio Shack Canada). After rising through the ranks, he left The Source as VP Merchandising and joined Affinity Electronics as VP Operations, serving as a member of the company’s executive team since 2005.

Michael Abram - Chairman
A retired Canadian senior business executive, Michael began his career at Xerox of Canada before transitioning through a variety of positions to become President of Ikon Office Solutions in Southern Alberta. Subsequently he was appointed President of Ikon Canada a leading office technology enterprise. He left the technology world to join Shaw Communications as President of Shaw Ventures, Shaw’s venture capital initiative. He also served as President of Big Pipe (now Shaw Business Solutions) and Star Choice (now Shaw Direct).

Anne Bowie - Board of Advisors
Anne has 18 years of agency experience across a variety of sectors, including Consumer Packaged Goods, Financial Services, Retail, Technology, Entertainment, Pharmaceutical and Automotive. With Bond since 2012, Anne has taken on multiple roles in the organization, starting as an Account Director, moving into leading the growth and development of two different Practice areas. Currently she leads a multi-disciplinary team of client leaders and subject matter experts who come together to deliver a variety of programming for Ford Motor Company globally, designed to improve experience and build loyalty to the brand across multiple audiences.

Karen McKay - Board of Advisors
Karen is a partner with HARRISON PENSA™ and Co-Chair of the firm’s Business and Financial Services Group, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and equity financing for both private and public companies. She provides ongoing corporate, commercial and governance advice to her public and private company clients, in both regulated and non-regulated industries. Since moving to London in 1998, Karen has become an active member of the community, serving on several charitable and non-profit boards.

Diana Praskey - Board of Advisors
Diana is an HR executive with 18 years of experience in multiple roles across the HR spectrum and various industries. She currently holds the position of Head of HR for Voortman Cookies. Diana also volunteers her time as a Board Director with Hope Place Centres—a not-for-profit abstinence-based, live-in addiction treatment centre for men and women.
